Riedel se encarga un a o m s del transporte de se ales AV, datos y comunicaciones, de forma flexible y fiable, en la popular Red Bull Air Race. La temporada se inici el 28 de febrero en Abu Dhabi, continu en Rovinj (Croacia) el 12 de abril pasando luego a Putrajaya (Malasia) el 18 de mayo. La edici n de este a o concluir en varias localidades chinas en noviembre.
Para las tres primeras carreras, la soluci n aportada por Riedel no s lo dio soporte a las comunicaciones al mbricas e inal mbricas entre las m s de 300 personas, desde pilotos al personal de seguridad o los rbitros, sino tambi n se encarg de la la distribuci n de v deo y audio para la producci n tanto en las pantallas desplegadas en las inmediaciones de la carrera como para su streaming y radiodifusi n internacional.
La Red Bull Air Race World Championship es conocida como la serie m s r pida y emocionante en deporte de motor en el planeta, y se ha convertido en un espect culo visual sin igual. Una combinaci n de alta velocidad y baja altitud, y la maniobrabilidad extrema s lo accesible a los pilotos m s excepcionales del mundo, que este a o competir en ocho carreras por el t tulo. Durante cada carrera, los pilotos recorren un circuito a reo con pilones llenos de aire en el menor tiempo posible, incurriendo en el menor n mero de sanciones como sea posible.
Para este evento extraordinario, ingenieros de Riedel han dise ado una infraestructura de distribuci n de se ales de v deo, audio, comunicaciones y datos en tiempo real en base a su tecnolog a MediorNet. EN este caso se han empleado siete frames compactos MediorNet y tres modulares MediorNet.
Los t cnicos pueden interconectar las se ales de audio a trav s de MADI y la soluci n de red de Riedel RockNet audio digital en combinaci n con MediorNet integra la mesa de mezclas principal del evento, que se encuentra en la unidad m vil que proporciona se al para las pantallas gigantes desplegadas en el rea de la carrera. Riedel ha suministrado tambi n enlaces de v deo inal mbricos para varias c maras de alta definici n as como las c maras abordo de los aeroplanos, lo que permite im genes impresionantes que recogen la perspectiva de los pilotos.
Usando MediorNet como columna vertebral, una matriz digital de intercomunicaci n Riedel Artist sirve en la Red Bull como infraestructura de comunicaciones del evento. Este sistema de intercomunicaci n, formado por dos frames Artist equipados con tarjetas MADI y paneles de control 20, se integran a la perfecci n con el sistema de radio troncalizado digital de Riedel (TETRA). Dos estaciones base TETRA compatibles con 300 radios de mano aseguran una cobertura completa de eventos, y dos interfaces de radio RiFace de Riedel permiten trabajar con otras 24 radios anal gicos que se a aden a la mezcla. Para salvar la distancia entre el aeropuerto de la carrera y el lugar del evento, Riedel cre un enlace de banda ancha que conectaba los dos puntos a trav s de trunking sobre IP.
