Boxx TV will demonstrate a new SDI Loop enhancement, supporting two monitors, for their Meridian RF transmitters at NAB

Boxx TV has added an SDI Loop to its Meridian zero delay transmitter which allows it to support two monitors. The Meridian will now provide a live image to the camera operators monitor, as well as a live feed to the Director of Productions monitor on set.

The SDI loop on the transmitter consists of SDI in and SDI out and composite connections and will provide two feeds, when the camera does not have two SDI outputs.

Boxx TVs portable receiver now has dual SDI and composite connections and the companys broadcast receiver also offers the same dual SDI Out and composite connections plus a component connection and an LCD monitor.

Camera operator Scott Walker, who is a founding director of Boxx TV explains: Its essential for Steadicam operators to have an instant view, to give them a feel for the video they are getting, and weve added this to the system after requests from our customers. This is what they ideally need for all live TV shows and sports events.

Boxx TVs Meridian system was designed for high quality, zero delay, robust transmissions and offers secure encrypted transmissions over the license-exempt channels. It has less than one millisecond delay for HD video has become the system of choice for video assist on Hollywood movies. It has also been used with Steadicams on live Saturday Night shows such as Strictly Come Dancing, The Voice, and Britains Got Talent, and numerous other TV shows and films, award ceremonies and large screen presentations.

Boxx TV will be demonstrating the new Meridian with its SDI loop at NAB. Existing Meridian customers will be able to upgrade to the SDI loop feature at the booth.
