Netflix Releases Children of the Church Steps With an Exclusive Event in Rio de Janeiro

S o Paulo, October 30, 2024 - On the night of Tuesday, October 29, Netflix celebrated the release of Children of the Church Steps with an exclusive event in Rio de Janeiro. The shows cast and crew along with big names from Brazils entertainment industry attended the screening of the first episode of the miniseries, which recounts the Candel ria massacre from a different perspective.

The venue, Armaz m 3 at Pier Mau , also hosted a thoughtful exhibition featuring behind-the-scenes photos from the filming and a powerful contribution by visual artist Negro Mia. Attending the event were the young talents in the lead roles - Samuel Silva, Patrick Congo, Wendy Queiroz and Andrei Marques - and renowned artists such as Ant nio Pitanga, Leandro Firmino, Bruno Gagliasso and Stepan Nercessian, who make special appearances in the miniseries. In addition to the cast, celebrities such as Alice Braga, Gabriel Louchard, BNeg o and Babalaw Ivanir dos Santos were also in attendance.

Directed by Luis Lomenha and M rcia Faria, Children of the Church Steps focuses on the 36 hours leading up to the massacre, from the perspective of four vulnerable children living on the streets of Rio de Janeiro. The show is now available on Netflix.
