Souland Conference Launches New Digital Network, Website

The Southland Conference has partnered with SIDEARM Sports and Volar Video to launch the league's enhanced digital network, including its official website, the conference announced Tuesday in conjunction with the website's debut this week.

As the Southland's official website provider, SIDEARM Sports gives fans of the Southland and its member schools a fully adaptive experience across all platforms. SIDEARM Sports has already released a new, official Android app for the conference and will release an all-new app for iOS devices in the coming days.

We hope the member schools, fans, student-athletes and supporters of the Southland Conference enjoy all the features that site has to offer, including full integration with Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Instagram, live video, live stats and photo galleries. We are thrilled to welcome the Southland Conference into the SIDEARM Sports family.

The Southland Conference Digital Network will offer video, live stats, photo galleries and full social media integration in addition to always popular content like standings, statistics, event recaps, schedules and results.

The league also partnered with Volar Video to create a dedicated video portal for the digital network that will be home to live events and an archived library of highlights, interviews and features that will remain free to viewers.

Volar is proud to become the new online video platform for the Southland Conference and we are excited to partner with SIDEARM Sports to launch the Southland's dynamic new website, David Bertram, Chief Sales and Marketing Officer of Volar Video, said. Our integration with SIDEARM will provide fans a brand new home to view Southland Conference championship events free of charge and in HD, beginning with the 2014 Men's and Women's Basketball Tournament.

SIDEARM Sports is the official website host for more than 700 colleges, universities and athletic conferences and is already the official athletics website provider for nine Southland Conference institutions including Abilene Christian, Central Arkansas, Houston Baptist, UIW, McNeese State, New Orleans, Nicholls, Northwestern State and Southeastern Louisiana.
