Haddads session, How COVID-19 Will Change the Streaming Wars, examines how COVID-19 has changed television and predicts the changes that will persist after the crisis is over. Taking place on Friday, April 30, from 11:05 to 11:55 a.m. EDT, the session will discuss how television consumption has evolved, outline the options for ad-supported TV, and reveal the biggest revenue opportunities for content creators and distributors in 2021. Haddad brings more than 15 years of experience in the telecom and IT industries to this discussion.
Beachs session explores The Technologies That Will Drive the TV of Tomorrow - and Those That Wont, predicting emerging technologies and platforms set to have the biggest impact on television and video in the future, along with how and why. In addition to highlighting technologies with disruptive potential, panelists will identify those that they believe are being overhyped. The session takes place on Friday, April 30, from 3:55 to 4:40 p.m. EDT. With nearly 20 years of experience in traditional and digital media, Beach is an expert in the video streaming ecosystem.
EasyBroadcast will also offer TVOT LIVE! attendees a fireside chat session with Haddad and Beach, moderated by Paolo Pescatore, founder and tech, media, and telco analyst at PP Foresight. The keynote session, Addressing Localized Challenges of Streaming in the Time of COVID, will examine video consumption trends that have accelerated due to COVID-19 and their impact on the industry. Reviewing challenges such as increased buffering, slower startup times, and increased video delivery costs, the session will highlight how Viewer-Assisted Delivery technology can offload the stress on networks during peak traffic periods as streaming consumption and data usage increase. The fireside chat takes place on Friday, April 30, from 2:45 to 3:15 p.m. EDT.
