WRAL-TV s News Advantage Continues to Grow
Locally owned and operated WRAL-TV is again the most watched station in the #24 market, sign-on to sign-off, showing strong growth in morning, early evening and late newscasts, according to the July household ratings from Nielsen.
Comprehensive legislative coverage with depth and insight on TV, web and twitter; multi-platform severe weather coverage during storms and flooding, plus local investigations distinguished the station as the viewers' choice in the Raleigh, Durham, Fayetteville market.

WRAL wins every weekday newscast early morning through late news
WRAL's weekday morning news is a strong #1 from 4:30-7a, beating the second place station by 38%, including 24% growth versus a year ago. The station reached its highest 6am audience share in more than three years.
WRAL dominates weekday early evening news from 5-6:30p by beating the second place station by 56%.
WRAL increased its HH share versus May13 in nearly every newscast: Mon-Fri 5a, 5:30a, 6a, 5p, 5:30p, 6p, and Mon-Sun 11p. The second place station declined in each of these time periods.
