Tourist activities to be launched for May Day holiday

It is learned from Ningbo Municipal Tourism Bureau that all the scenic sports and hotels have been prepared for the coming tourist peak season of May Day holiday, with various holidaying activities and preferential measures.

Experience tours. During the May Day holiday, the Happy Field Farm will launch such interactive activities as violet flowers appreciating, kite flying, vegetable or fruit picking-up, rice-cake pounding, and live CS games. Childrens activities will be held in Tengtou Village of Fenghua County, including the bubble show, the "chicken vs. eagle" game, and the animation Cosplay. The Dapeng Mountain Theme Park will launch the "treasure seeking" games for children, and the Dream Happy World at the Hangzhou Bay area will have evening shows during the May Day holiday. The Science Exploration Center in Jiangdong District will carry out such activities as the live monopoly games and charity fair for kids. Besides, the first Scarecrow Festival will be held at the Water Park of Dongqian Lake.

Folk tours. At the Cicheng Ancient Town, tourists can take part in such folk custom activities as weaving colorful "clothes" for eggs, making traditional rice cakes, tasting local dishes and drinking local teas. The new Story Inn located at the Qiantong Ancient Town area of Ninghai County will be open during the May Day holiday.

Landscape tours. The Dragon Altar Sacrificing Ceremony will be held at the Five-dragon Pool Scenic Area and tourists can come and appreciate the five waterfalls. At the Songlan Mountain Holiday Resort, self-driving tourists can take part in the beach football or volleyball games, treasure seeking on the beach, and bonfire parties. And the new water leisure activities including Haley water cycling and the plastic leisure ships will be launched during the holiday. The Dream Water World of Hangzhou Bay area will be reopened on May 1 to provide the first 5D water cinema in China and various high-level water amusement facilities.

In addition, during the May Day holiday, the first "Butterfly Love Story Painting Exhibition" will be held at the Butterfly Lovers Cultural Museum. At the Zhaobao Mountain scenic area, an exhibition of monthly roses will be held, exhibiting over 1000 china roses and over 100 kinds of monthly roses from Europe.

In order to attract tourists, the major scenic spots have also prepared a lot of preferential activities. Baoguo Temple scenic area has launched discount tours for the May Day Card holders, free tours by the "model workers" and related volunteer activities. Tourists with the title of "Model Worker" at or above the county level can visit for free the Jade World Scenic Area and the Geological Park of Siming Mountain. During the 5th Xiangshan TV & Movie Carnival, tourists with the certificates of "Model Worker" are entitled to a free visit to the Xiangshan TV & Movie City, accompanied by one other person.
