Pebble Beach Systems, a leading supplier of automation, content management and integrated channel technology, will be demonstrating important new enhancements to its products at CABSAT this year on stand G3-31.

The company has a large installed user base in the Middle East, and has developed many region-specific features for its automation and channel delivery products, including an Arabic user interface, dynamic graphics control with Arabic text, and a function that enables broadcasters to easily manage prayer breaks in their schedules.

Pebble Web Client

Pebble Beach Systems' suite of Web Client tools offers a range of functions from straightforward monitoring of a single playlist, up to highly granular remote control of multiple Marina automation systems and Dolphin integrated channel devices across geographically dispersed locations. Developed using HTML5 and the latest Web Server technology, the Web Client tools are designed to offer close to real time access to single or multiple systems of all sizes and architectures on PC or tablet devices using Chrome, Safari, Internet Explorer or Firefox browsers.

Lighthouse' - Monitoring by Exception Dashboard

Designed to alert Marina automation operators clearly and unambiguously to upcoming problems, Lighthouse is a new dashboard display tool that monitors by exception. It aggregates all lists within the system, displaying a dashboard of the next problem on any list, and enabling early intervention in the case of, for example, validation errors, timing anomalies or missing media alerts. As the trend for more channels to be controlled by fewer operators continues, Lighthouse maximises the opportunity for early error detection and safeguards the smooth playout of all channels.

Powerful real time 3D Graphics Creation for Dolphin integrated channel device under Marina control

Pebble Beach Systems is also showing the new ClassX plug in which delivers affordable real-time advanced 3D branding. This graphics inserter is automatically populated from the Marina playlist, even if late breaking changes are made close to air. It will be shown generating Now Next Later graphics with video, as well as tickers, bugs and other animated channel branding devices. ClassX is a specialist broadcast graphics provider whose customers include Mediaset, Italian state broadcaster RAI, and MTV, and the company is also exhibiting at CABSAT on stand 4.411.

The company's Regional Manager for the Middle East, Samir Isbaih, confirms: Our solutions now control over 300 channels in the Middle East region, making us the leading provider in this quality-conscious market. In addition to demonstrating these enhancements, we will be making some major contract announcements at the show, and we look forward making the most of the excellent networking opportunities which CABSAT provides.
