World Match Race Tour 0 - Chicago

The Alpari World Match Racing Tour is an annual yachting event that takes place in multiple locations around the world.

Presteigne Charter has been providing kit and crew to facilitate the broadcasting of each race since 2008. Not only do our multi-disciplined Special Projects engineers set up the hired wireless systems at each location, they also provide full technical support to the client, and their own equipment, including the set up and test of the vision and audio mixers with their associated infrastructures and installation of the communications equipment. In addition, our engineers provide support to the on-site edit network, maintenance of the client's camera equipment and integration support with the outgoing uplink.

For the most recent stage, in Chicago, Presteigne Charter supplied 3 x RF SD Link clip-on kits, 2 x RF Link Fibre Receive Options and 5 x High Power Microphone Kits (4 x onboard, 1 x commentator).

Special Projects engineers will be travelling to St Moritz for the next lake race. Already this season, races have taken place in Germany, Korea and Sweden, with further races to be held over the coming months in Marseille, Bermuda and Malaysia. Having worked closely with Red Handed TV for a number of years, we have built a strong relationship allowing us the ability to flex the requirements as necessary. Every new venue presents new challenges and, along with a continual process of development from the tour management, we are able to provide the technical resources necessary to provide some of the best coverage there has ever been of match racing.
