Samsung Food ShowCase Refrigerator Innovation in Functionality and Storage for the Whole Family on Sep 04, 2013 Innovative Samsung ShowCase' design makes food organisation easy
Untitled Document Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. today announced its new Food ShowCase side-by-side refrigerator at IFA 2013. Its design provides smart separation in the refrigerator with the ShowCase for instant access to frequently used items and the InnerCase for items used less often.
Lana Sanleandro, Head of Marketing, Samsung Digital Appliances UK & Ireland, said, Consumers want quick and easy access to the food and drink they use the most. The Samsung Food ShowCase delivers this perfectly by merging consumer needs, engineering and innovative design.
ShowCase for Frequently Used Items
The ShowCase is four times bigger than a conventional home-bar and opens only the exterior door of the refrigerator so that users can find items at a glance. Customisable baskets answer the various needs of a home by placing six dedicated food storage compartments within the ShowCase - Cheese Case, Sauce Case, Drink Case, Snack Case, Kids Case and Multi Case - arranged as follows:
The Cooking Zone (upper level) - Cheese Case and Sauce Case
The Family Zone (mid level) - Drink Case and Snack Case
The Kids Zone (lower level) - Kids Case and Multi Case
The Kids Case, for example, is placed in the lower level of the ShowCase allowing easy access for children. Separating it into zones allows users to effectively organise and find food items. The Snack and Kids Case are detachable and can be placed directly on the table to further enhance usability. The ShowCase also features a Metal Cooling door that efficiently ensures refrigerator temperatures remain at the perfect level.
InnerCase for Food Preservation
The InnerCase is designed to keep food such as vegetables, fruits and meats fresh and in optimum condition. Unlike conventional refrigerators with one cooling system for both the freezer and refrigerator, Samsungs innovative Twin Cooling Plus System separates airflow from the refrigerator and the freezer enabling accurate temperature control and improving cooling performance. The refrigerator area keeps fruits and vegetables fresher, longer. In the freezer, freezer burn is reduced, maintaining the quality of frozen food and ensuring there is no unwelcome ice build-up.
Samsung Thin Wall Insulation for Efficient Spacing
Samsung's Thin Wall Insulation technology allows the fridge lining to be thinner without compromising the overall size of the unit. As a result the Food ShowCase offers more capacity within the interior of the refrigerator whilst maintaining the same size and dimension of the exterior.
Modern Design to Match the Modern Lifestyle
The new Food ShowCase side-by-side refrigerator features an elegant metallic finish, which incorporates Samsung's Timeless Design' philosophy and adds a premium feel to the modern family lifestyle.
Food ShowCase that Works Smart
Samsung's superior digital inverter compressor improves energy efficiency and cooling performance by automatically adjusting in response to cooling demands. Whether due to frequent door opening, a hot plate of food or changes to the outside temperature, the compressor reacts rapidly and provides cold air, or slows down to reduce unnecessary energy consumption. Unlike other models, Samsung's compressor operates at a lower noise level at night.
