Edgewares Video Consolidation Platform (VCP) Enables Broadcasters to Tap Into New Revenue Sources and Protect Content Rights by Extending Their Reach Within IP Delivery Networks
AMSTERDAM, THE NETHERLANDS -- Sep 11, 2015 - IBC 2015, stand 14.B20 -- Edgeware, the leader in video delivery networks, is demonstrating how its highly innovative Video Consolidation Platform (VCP) can provide broadcasters with greater control of their next-generation OTT delivery channels, including enabling full visibility of network and content performance.
Todays broadcasters operate in an increasingly fragmented and competitive arena with enhanced requirements to deliver innovative content experiences to consumers on both traditional STBs and newer connected devices. Relying on partners for business-critical functions, such as encryption, network storage, format re-packaging, content distribution and playout gives little control over the quality for which they will be judged by their viewers.

By deploying Edgewares VCP, broadcasters can take back control of vital head-end and distribution functions. Collapsing multiple video processing activities, such as repackaging, encryption, recording, storage and playout, into a single, consolidated and high performance platform, Edgewares VCP enables broadcasters to cost effectively originate and serve their own OTT services.
As the levels of content and viewers grow, the same platform is easily scaled in the head-end and via distribution of CDN nodes into the broadband service provider networks.
