PALO ALTO, Calif. HP Autonomy today announced a new augmented reality (AR) media campaign with online retailer Very.co.uk, designed to promote HP's innovative portfolio of notebook PCs and printers to the readers of eight major UK entertainment magazines.

Very.co.uk, part of Shop Direct Group, is a UK-based online department store that lets consumers shop across a variety of product areas, from fashion and footwear to furniture and electronics.

Aurasma, HP Autonomy's groundbreaking AR platform, connects the physical and digital worlds, allowing people to use rich images instead of text or QR codes to turn search into an action-oriented interactive experience.

Starting today, readers of UK magazines including Heat, New, Now and Reveal will encounter a full-page promotion enticing them to find their ideal HP notebook. Bringing the printed image to life with the free Aurasma mobile app, Very.co.uk is inviting readers to take a quiz that helps identify how they use their technology, and suggests the ideal notebook for their needs. The promotion also will include links to the Very.co.uk store.
