Paris, le 14 fvrier 2013 Le grand producteur de documentaires scientifiques Michael Rosenfeld, Head of Television & Film de la nouvelle socit Tangled Bank Studios, prendra la parole en tant que keynote le samedi 6 avril 2013 au MIPDoc. Le plus grand march international du documentaire et des programmes factuels, le MIPDoc se droulera Cannes les 6 et 7 avril, en amont du MIPTV (8-11 avril).
Auteur et producteur chevronn dans le monde du documentaire et des nouveaux mdias, Michael Rosenfeld dirige le tout nouveau Tangled Bank Studios, nouvellement cr linitiative du Howard Hughes Medical Institute. Dot dun budget de 60 millions de dollars, le studio produira chaque anne plus de 10 heures de programmes pour la tlvision, le cinma et les mdias numriques.
Au cours dune carrire qui la conduit travailler sur les rseaux hertziens, le cble et la tlvision publique, Michael Rosenfeld a remport, avec ses quipes, plusieurs centaines de prix pour ses films, dont le Peabody Award, ainsi quune quarantaine de News & Documentary Emmy Awards. Lors de son intervention au MIPDoc, intitule Reinventing Science Television, il expliquera comment son nouveau studio compte produire des films scientifiques qui duquent autant quils divertissent, en soutenant les producteurs qui travaillent dans cette optique.
Au MIPDoc, les crateurs de documentaires et de programmes factuels soumettent leurs histoires plus de 400 acheteurs, provenant de 60 pays. Au cur du march, la plus grande vidothque spcialise au monde permet aux producteurs et aux distributeurs de prsenter plus de 1200 films, parmi les programmes les plus rcents, aux principaux acheteurs internationaux.
Le programme de confrences du MIPDoc 2013 propose un ensemble vari de sessions et dvnements qui correspondent aux diverses tendances de lindustrie des programmes factuels et documentaires aujourdhui. La coproduction et le cofinancement demeurent au centre du programme du MIPDoc et seront mis en avant au cours dune srie dateliers, rpartis pendant les deux jours du march.
Initiative importante cette anne, le Commissioners Meet Up permettra aux crateurs et producteurs de prsenter plus de 130 projets en cours au stade de la conception, du dveloppement ou de la production. Le MIPDoc International Pitch slectionnera six des meilleurs projets de films enregistrs au catalogue du MIPDoc 2013 et proposera leurs auteurs de dfendre ces projets devant un panel de directeurs de programme et de diffuseurs, pendant le premier jour du MIPDoc.
