El Summit, Conference and International Film Festival of Animation, Visual Effects and Videogames Animayo celebrar en mayo de 2018 su d cimo tercera edici n. El periodo de inscripci n a n se encuentra abierto y las plazas son limitadas, por lo que se recomienda a todos los/las interesados/as que consulten laweb oficial del festival para su inscripci n en: www.animayo.com
Las fechas ser n del 2 al 5 de mayo pr ximo. Su lugar de celebraci n este a o tomar de nuevo como centro principal de operaciones, el Centro de Iniciativas de La Caja de Canarias (CICCA), adem s del Teatro Guiniguada para las proyecciones a concurso que luego dar n lugar al Palmar s Oficial y finalmente la misma Alameda de Col n, donde se clausurar , tras un concierto y numerosas actividades sorpresa al aire libre, durante la jornada final del s bado 5 de mayo.
Esta 13 edici n se presenta con una programaci n mucho m s amplia en actividades e invitados, as como un plantel de aut ntico lujo entre sus estrellas invitadas, que llegan por primera vez a Canarias, para intervenir en sus diferentes m sterclases, ponencias, foros, cursos, talleres, revisi n de portfolios y recruitments'.
Animayo es el primer festival espa ol de animaci n declarado festival calificador' por la Academia de Artes y Ciencias Cinematogr ficas de Hollywoodpara los premios Oscar. Los premiados de Animayo 2018 podr n ser tenidos en cuenta en la categor a de cortometraje de animaci n' de los Premios de la Academia.
La tem tica espec fica de este a o se dedicar especialmente a las Parejas, t ndems y equipos en el mundo de la animaci n.
Animayo naci en el a o 2006 y hoy cuenta con una media por edici n dem s de 15.000 participantes, dirigida por el director y productor espa ol Dami n Perea, uno de los actuales embajadores de Espa a de los European Animation mile Awards.
Es actualmente un referente en el campo de la animaci n a escala internacional, y su objetivo es generar un suelo f rtil para las nuevas generaciones, una plataforma para el conocimiento y para el desarrollo de todos los procesos creativos, de ni os a adultos, con el fin de crear un tejido profesional y una salida laboral al talento. Tiene lugar en el mes de mayo en la isla de Gran Canaria y extiende su programaci n a otras ciudades del mundo, proyecto denominado Animayo Itinerante. Actualmente se desarrollan itinerantes en Los ngeles, Madrid, Barcelona, Lanzarote, Bombay, Chicago, Portugal, Praga y Colombia.
Durante el festival Animayo Gran Canaria se proyectan las pel culas a concurso que dar n lugar al Palmar s Oficial, dentro de un amplio programa que contiene m sterclases de artistas internacionales, ponencias, cursos, talleres, espacios formativos, actividades al aire libre, especiales de cine, espacios de realidad virtual y videojuegos, conciertos, recruitments, revisi n de portfolios y foros. El Palmar s Oficial de Animayo es resultante de una competici n anual de obras de animaci n 2d, animaci n 3d, efectos visuales, experimental, piezas de publicidad, spots de animaci n, videoclips y cinem tica de videojuegos
Desde hace siete a os, Animayo ofrece tambi n becas y pone en marcha proyectos para la formaci n, el empleo y la captaci n de empresas e inversores del sector audiovisual.
