T News Improves News Delivery with Ross Video

Indian broadcaster deploys Ross Carbonite, NK Router & openGear Monday, July 31st, 2017 [Hyderabad, India] - Ross Video, the leader in smart production, is pleased to announce that T News, a 24x 7 news channel located in Hyderabad has chosen Ross' Carbonite Black production switchers, NK Router, and openGear modular signal processing platform as part of their news facility upgrade in southern India.

Two Ross Carbonite Black switchers are being used in T News' production control rooms for the live production of 24X7 news bulletins.

T News' Chief Technical Officer, Mr. M.V. Vinay, explained the decision in this way. We launched our channel in 2009-10. So, after 8 years when we decided to upgrade our facility, we were looking for a cost effective, reliable and future ready solution. Fortunately, Ross products fit all our expectations. We replaced our old switchers with 2ME Carbonite Black models, the existing router with an NK Router, and modular equipment with openGear signal processing. Carbonite switchers are great value for the money, and after comparing we found that no other brand provides so many features in a mid-size switcher. And, with an unmatchable 5-year warranty on infrastructure products, we did not give a second thought to our infrastructure requirements.

Ross Carbonite Black production switchers have helped T News change their on-screen look with the ability to display more video boxes with access to more keyers and a DVE. Chroma key production capability has also improved with two integrated chroma keyers and the Mini ME functionality. Carbonite Black has superseded their previous switchers in terms of keyers, DVE, ease of operation, built in MultiViewers, and frame synchronizers.

As to working with Ross, Mr. Vinay declared, We are very happy with the installation and training and are able to use our Ross solution effectively. Our experience with Ross has been great and we are looking forward to future upgrades with Ross products.
