
Once again an in-house operation, the league's network is producing shows from three locations in Intuit Dome
After 18 years of operations in Atlanta under Warner Bros. Discovery (n e Turner Sports), NBA TV has come full circle, reclaiming production control in what marks a significant milestone for the league's media operations. The transition, which officially began Oct. 1, 2025, represents one of the NBA's most ambitious production undertakings in nearly two decades, with the 2026 All-Star Weekend at Intuit Dome serving as the network's grand coming-out party.
This is our Super Bowl, and we now have come full circle, NBA VP/Broadcast Operations Lead Anthony Fierro says of NBA TV's return to league-operated status. It's incredible because we've all worked so hard and on such short timelines this season. It's a great feeling to see it all [on display] here at All-Star. Everybody has pitched in, and it's gratifying to see not just what we have going on here but what has been accomplished all season with a very small team.
Onsite at Intuit: Three Sites Headlined by The Association in the Atrium
NBA's Anthony Fierro and LJ Harrington at the NBA TV All-Star set at Intuit DomeNBA TV is working with production partner Everwonder Studio, rolling out a four-camera set capable of serving five on-air talent in the atrium of Intuit Dome for daily production of flagship show The Association. Typically produced by Everwonder Studio in Los Angeles, the show features MJ Acosta-Ruiz, David Fizdale, Rudy Gay, Chris Haynes, John Wall, and other contributors. For All-Star Weekend, NBA TV is producing the show as a REMI, deploying NEP Alpha mobile unit and a remote control room at Victory Studio in L.A.
In addition to the primary set in the atrium, NBA TV has a practice-court set and courtside positioning for pre/postgame coverage.
It's quite different from when we had NBA TV under our domain the first time, says NBA Broadcast operations leader, local game production, LJ Harrington, a veteran of nearly 28 All-Star Games. But it has been exciting to see it all come together. Every day that passes, I feel like we keep building, and this is a great example of that.
Quick to Air: NBA TV Relaunches as League-Run Operation
The accelerated timeline to relaunch NBA TV was intense to say the least: beginning in late July and culminating with the Oct. 1 cutover. After months of preparation, master control and distribution shifted from Atlanta to Comcast Technology Solutions (CTS) in Denver, while NBA TV took complete ownership of production operations, including new shows, live programming, and game broadcasts.
The new operation is a joint effort with EverWonder Productions, which handles weekday broadcasts of The Association. Other live productions include pre/postgame shows and the network's nightly Everything You Missed recap.
The compressed timeline created challenges. Serious planning with EverWonder couldn't begin until late January, leaving teams scrambling to coordinate building logistics and technical requirements.
NEP's Alpha truck is on hand in Lot E outside Intuit Dome to serve NBA TV's REMI studio show productionOne particularly daunting task involved converting approximately 45 affiliates from satellite to SRT delivery. Many smaller affiliates lacked necessary equipment, requiring receiver shipments and last-minute procurement of key gear.
Of course, you're going to have moments of frustration and big challenges, says Harrington, but that's honestly what makes it worthwhile. It's nice to meet new people and build something from scratch. And it's great on events like this, when you have so many different groups coming together to serve the one goal of getting the brand out there more and showing what NBA TV looks like now. It has been great working with everyone out here.
