NAB 2026: Software-Defined, AI-Powered Workflow Tells the Story of the New FOR-A America

FOR-A will exhibit software-defined and AI-driven solutions at NAB Show 2026, booth C4920, marking a shift away from the hardware-focused displays the company has presented since its first NAB exhibition in 1980. All solutions will be available as interactive demos via touchscreen kiosks. Video demonstrations will also be shown on an LED wall supplied by partner company Alfalite.

viztrick AiDi - FOR-A will show viztrick AiDi, an on-device AI solution developed by Nippon TV and distributed globally by FOR-A. The company says the technology processes video with lower latency than competing solutions, which it says introduce delays of five to ten seconds. Running on NVIDIA GPUs, the GoVertical! AiDi component delivers 9:16 autocropping for live streaming to mobile platforms with object tracking, including players and the ball. NBC Sports is the first commercial deployment. AiDi is also planned to integrate with ClassX graphics software.

FOR-A IMPULSE - The IMPULSE live production platform consolidates signal processing, multi-view, switching, graphics, audio mixing and media playback as software functions on servers with GPU processing. Operators build production pipelines within a graph editor. AI-assisted automatic system diagram generation is planned for a future release. Cloud and hybrid operation are also planned.

MixBoard - Available now, MixBoard is a software-based switcher powered by ClassX that supports unlimited layers and 2D/3D transition effects. It includes a Media Engine for playout of video clips, stills and playlists, and a Compositor for creating layouts and transitions. The MixBoard targets corporate events, live presentations and hybrid production environments.

HVS-Q12 - Also available now, the HVS-Q12 is a 4RU 2 M/E video switcher supporting 3G with a software upgrade path to 12G. In 3G mode it provides up to 60 inputs and 30 outputs; in 12G mode, up to 42 inputs and 21 outputs. It supports up to 8 keyers per M/E at HD/3G and includes Dante and NDI interfaces.
