Fernando Argenta dismies radio and television

Fernando Argenta dismisses radio and television He directed Radio 3 and Radio 1 of RNE, where he started his career in 1971. He also directed and presented programmes such as Classic popular, RNE, and El conciertazo, in TVE.

The musician and journalist Fernando Argenta, great Communicator introduced classical music in Spanish households through RNE and TVE, died on Tuesday at age 68 as a result of cancer.

Son of the conductor Ata lfo Argenta, who died in 1958, and the pianist Juanita Pallares, directed and presented programmes such as Popular classics, RNE, and The amazing concert, in TVE. He was also director of Radio 3 and Radio 1 RNE, where he started his career in 1971.

Argenta learned to love music in your home, from admiration to a father who woke up applause and put the public at foot. The death of his father, when he was only 12 years old, made her tip over in the music and in its reporting, a task to which he dedicated his entire life.

In 1976 he created the program Popular classicsHe was 32 years in antenna until 2008. Since the year 2000 and until his retirement in 2008, he directed and presented the program on TVE brother El Conciertazofocused in bringing classical music to young people.

Degree in law from the Complutense University of Madrid and with top grade of piano and harmony music studies at the Royal Conservatory in Madrid, Argenta came making an average of about 80 concerts annually.
