If one looks deeper into the seek-and-destroy operation, run by the EST, the devastation it brings becomes evident. There are plenty of emotions involved, with fear being the biggest factor. However, the whole aftermath carries some as well.

Healing and the Unconventional Bonds It Forms Now, let's talk about healing. An event like this fosters a sense of camaraderie (we become closer!). However, don't focus solely on that galvanizing event. Every day spent in prison contributes to this. It's an adjustment, considering this incident was very different from our regular day-to-day life inside. I always say that I'm fortunate not to have experienced war. Still, along with the near-critical hospital experience and sports, prison definitely brings people involved together in a special way.

Banter, Laughter, and the Aftermath of Chaos Once the brutality ends, and the boys' are marched into our respective sleeping cells, the next aspect of this non-recommended event is the cleanup and reclamation. There's so much laughter as the banter begins to flow. The ice has been broken. It's because in an incident like this, we really get to see who handles a different type of pressure.

Order Amidst Anarchy There are so many pressures in the world of the four corners. Banter, laughter, check-ins - they're all extremely important. Who is injured? Who is missing artifacts? Who did what during the commotion? Every single inmate shares a chuckle. Hey, why the hell not? Nobody died. If contraband survives the shake-up, there's definitely order put into how it will be used. The time and amount are determined, simply because anarchy won't reign, not with the senior or tougher guys around. Experienced big brothers eventually make their way to the afflicted, offering support, encouraging words, and sharing their own recount of events, as well as similar or usually more brutal encounters.

Humor is life. However, let's not forget that we're still in prison here. Tomorrow, it's back to business as it were. Yes, there are moments when the worst of events can have a positive impact.
