Retief Goosen set to be inducted in golf Hall of Fame

One of South frica's finest ever golfers Retief Goosen will be inducted in the World Golf Hall of Fame in the middle of 2019.

The Goose was picked in the Male Competitor Category, reserved for those with 15 or more professional titles. and is set to become the fourth South African to enjoy the honour, joining Ernie Els, Gary Player and Bobby Locke.

He will be enshrined alongside four other members in Billy Payne, Jan Stephenson, Dennis Walters and the late Peggy Kirk Bell, who will be inducted on Monday, 10 June 2019 at Pebble Beach, with the ceremony taking place at Sunset Centre in Carmel-By-The-Sea, California in the week of the men's US Open.

In a career that has spanned over two decades, Retief Goosen has won 33 professional titles, which include two majors. The Goose also spent 250 consecutive weeks between 2001 and 2007 ranked in the Official World Golf Ranking's top 10.
