
Ono grows in revenue and services in the first nine months of the year TiVo, smart TV of Ono in Spain, has overcome the 258,000 active services, more than 30% of the pay TV client base and in a single quarter achieved more than 46,000 new high.
Ono closed the first nine months of the year with 529 million euro of EBITDA by 6.3% less with respect to the first nine months of 2012. Excluding the effect of the resulting accounting provision of purchase of AUNA (PPA), EBITDA stood at 525 million euros, 3.6 percent less than in the same period of the previous year.
In the third quarter of the year, Ono recorded a net positive result of 4 million euros compared to a loss of 6 million euros in the same quarter of 2012. However, the accumulated from January to September 2013 occurs in a negative impact arising from the first quarter of the year, as a result of the differences in rate of exchange of the debt that the company has issued in dollars, as well as costs of the issuance of bonds, completed in February. Therefore, the operator obtains a net negative result of EUR 15 million to September 30, 2013.
The increase in revenue, as well as continuing improvements in efficiency, have allowed the operator generate 345 million euros in cash flow operating and 89 million euros of free flow of box after payment of interest to September 30, 2013.
The income of Ono were in the first nine months of the year at 1.183 billion euros, representing an increase of 1.7% compared to the same period in 2012, driven by a remarkable growth in the segment of companies, whose earnings rose at a 14.9% from January to September 2013 and where the wholesale segment had a good behavior with a rise of 29.5% in the period.
The tough competitive environment which continues to enjoy a great downward pricing pressure, coupled with the loss of purchasing power by consumers and the mobile interconnection rate cut, made revenues of the segment retail (retail) experienced a slight decline of 1.8%, from January to September of 2013, versus the same period of the previous year. However, this drop was moderate thanks to the increase in the number of contracted services and, especially, the quality and variety of the offer on the Internet high speed, as well as TiVo and converged offerings that the operator is driving quarter after quarter.
ARPU of optical fibre customers continues with its positive developments and increased 3 percent in the third quarter of the year compared with the same period of the previous year, up to 52.5 euros, mainly due to favorable mobile impact and growth of TiVo.
SMEs and freelancers (SoHo) area kept a very positive trend with an increase of 10.6% in revenues from January to September 2013 with respect to the same period in 2012, reinforced by improvements in offers of high-speed which totaled 60 and 120 megabytes.
Ono maintained his focus in the provision of integrated services, with the maintenance of campaigns cross selling to your customer base, joined his bet by mobile, what has allowed it to increase its residential services of fiber per customer in 0, 3 x in the last twelve months to reach 2, 76 x to September 2013.
Rush investments from January to September 2013 reached 184 million euros and were mainly focused on the installation of high speeds and TiVo products the operator customer base.
Ono surpasses 5 million of contracted services Ono has exceeded 5 million services contracted to 30 September 2013 (5.012.000), representing an increase of 7.6% in the last twelve months. In a market characterized by stiff competition and the trend of customers towards converged offerings, Ono is making some solid results in the recruitment of new mobile services. These continued experiencing a rise very relevant, adding 587.000 in the past twelve months, to a total of 902.000 to end of September 2013, thanks to a strategy of selling services packaged at prices based
very competitive.
