MNA promotes S67 adoption at Infocomm

The Media Networking Alliance (MNA) will host demos highlighting AES67 interoperability between networked components operating with Ravenna, Dante and Livewire AoIP transports to increase awareness of the AES67 standard at Infocomm 2016.

At the show the industry alliance and its member companies will host events and daily demonstrations to promote adoption of AES67, the open standard facilitating the common interchange of digital media between different AoIP networking platforms.

On Friday June 10 from 9.00 to 10.00 am, MNA chairman and VP of systems strategy at QSC, Rich Zwiebel, and Marty Sacks, vice president and executive director of Axia Audio, The Telos Alliance, will present a talk on IS103 - AES67: Achieving Interoperability Between Audio Networks as part of the show's seminar program. The session will examine how the standard can be used in products or installed sound and broadcast projects, as well as the benefits of having a standard that supports interoperability between these two industries.

Throughout the exhibition MNA will host an expanded live AES67 demonstration at its booth. This will explore Ravenna, Dante, Livewire connectivity, discovery and connection management and how the previously independent systems can now be used together. The demo will incorporate devices from manufacturers including ALC NetworX, Focusrite,Genelec, Merging Technologies, Lawo and Yamaha interoperably passing digital audio.

He added: We are demonstrating live that AES67 is an industry standard interoperability technology that you can specify with confidence and use today, commented Kevin Gross, chair of the MNA technical work group.

MNA will be exhibiting at booth C11146 at Infocomm 2016. The event runs until June 10 at the Las Vegas Convention Centre. Harman (booth N805), ALCNetworX (booth C12129) and Merging Technologies (C11808) will also host demos during the show.
