From April 30 to May 3, Sundance Film Festival: CDMX 2026 will offer a selection of exciting independent cinema.Mexico City, March 3, 2026 - At a moment of heightened relevance for independent cinema, Cin polis and the Sundance Institute announce the third edition of Sundance Film Festival: CDMX 2026, bringing compelling international cinema to Mexico City and creating a dynamic platform for new voices and stories.
The Festival will take place from April 30 to May 3, 2026, with Cin polis Diana returning as the main venue, and screenings at additional cinemas to be confirmed. Screenings will also take place at Cin polis Mitikah, Cin polis Oasis Coyoac n, Cin polis Plaza Carso y Cin polis VIP Miyana.
We are excited to be planning another edition of Sundance Film Festival: CDMX. Our 2026 festival in April will again showcase a selection of new films from around the world for Mexico City moviegoers, said Eugene Hernandez, Director, Sundance Film Festival and Public Programming. We have enjoyed getting to know CDMX audiences the past two years and our programming team is curating a selection that will engage and entertain. The 2026 edition will be specially curated by Sundance Film Festival programmers and include a selection of films originally presented at the 2026 Sundance Film Festival, as well as special screenings and activities designed to enrich the audience's in-theater experience.
