If South Africans had to add their wish list to Mariah Carey's Christmas hit All I Want For Christmas, it would be a bottomless pothole. Electricity would be nice. Not to mention cheaper petrol; state medical facilities where one does not lose a leg when you were booked to have your tonsils removed, a job or two, less talk and more walk from Bheki Cele and his force; medical parolees who do not dance the night away and tee off with great gusto on the gholf course and so the list goes.

Lest we forget: What about an end to the perpetual state of corruption and looting of the state coffers? That would be REALLY nice
