BVE 06: PESA Demos XSTREAM Multi-channel Live Streaming Solution

PESA is demonstrating its PESA XSTREAM multi-channel live streaming solutions during BVE 2016 (Stand R01) this week. The company will also show its Touch72 LCD and Smart32 programmable remote control panelsfor live production and OB vehicles.

The need for streaming technology continues to grow for a variety of professional markets, and our PESA XSTREAM product line is an affordable way to manage multiple streaming sources.

Housed in a 1 RU chassis, the PESA XSTREAM C58 multi-channel H.264 encoder allows organizations to compress, stream, and share high-quality content between locations, as well as enable streaming in existing video distribution. It simultaneously encodes up to five independent video sources and eight audio sources concurrently from live or recorded video for multi-path H.264 IP distribution over six independent video streams. When multiple sources are captured simultaneously, the streams remain associated and synchronized during the event.

Ideal for live events, webcasting, and remote production, the C58 handles capture, scaling, and sync to simplify installation and operation. With five individually addressable video outputs as well as an integrated quad-view output, it also allows operators to stream live content over IP while simultaneously transmitting live digital content to a quad-view display and/or full screen display. PESA Xstream can also synchronize discrete audio inputs to discrete video and IP video inputs, and offers adjustable audio delay.

With a variety of video inputs, the compact PESA XSTREAM C22 can be configured as a two-port video encoder or two-port decoder, or can include one of each. Two units can be paired to allow bi-directional live interaction between sites, which makes it a cost effective solution for sharing content between news bureaus or other facilities. Its built-in genlock allows video signals to be locked to an external source for glitch-free video switching, and two external audio sources can be synchronized to either or both video streams. An HDMI out allows for local preview. Both the C58 and C22 include an integrated Web server for full remote control, so no personnel are required on site for streaming content to another facility.

Also on display will be PESA's programmable remote control panels. Designed for live production, the Touch72 LCD includes 72 programmable LCD push button switches in a 2 RU configuration, along with a color touch-screen display. The Smart32 features 32 dynamically reprogrammable LCD buttons arranged in a 2 16 configuration. Each push button can be configured for any source, destination, level, salvo, or control. Operators can identify each button with text and predefined icon graphics through Cattrax, PESA's Windows-based control software. Plus, users can assign different colors to various key types, select button brightness, and set buttons to blink, pulse, or be constantly on or off.
