GREAT Britain pavilion returns to NatExpo exhibition in Moscow

Seven leading British media technology companies will exhibit at NatExpo 2013, a leading convention for the broadcast industry, which runs at the Crocus Expo International Exhibition Centre in Moscow from 19 to 21 November. The UK Pavilion (Stand A35), promoted under the GREAT Britain banner, is supported by UK Trade and Investment, sponsored by Intellect, the trade association for the UK technology industry and managed by Tradefair, a UK specialist business support company.

Exhibiting companies are keen to emphasise the importance of the Russian market, and the significance of the NatExpo event as a showcase. The broadcast market in Russia is very active and we are looking to appoint key distributors and resellers, said Chris Smeeton, sales director at cable and infrastructure specialist Argosy. Being at NatExpo will give us a great platform to make those connections.

Natexpo is an important platform for Quantel to bring its game-changing solutions to the attention of a market that is hungry for innovation, added Martin Mulligan, sales director at Quantel, which is demonstrating sophisticated newsroom, editing and content management tools.

GB Labs is showing cutting edge, cloud-based solutions for content storage and sharing, a key issue in today's production environment where huge amounts of raw footage needs to be shared, evaluated and edited quickly. The FlashNet content management system from SGL provides a complete archive solution for broadcasters.

Emotion Systems has a software-based video and audio platform to automate compliance and quality control processes, including loudness which is very much a hot topic at the moment. TSL Products is focusing on the sound side of television, with its range of logging, mixing and monitoring units. IEWC and Gepco together provide an international distribution service for cables and accessories.

This is our second visit to NatExpo, responding to the demand from British manufacturers and developers, said Mark Birchall of Tradefair. They recognise that the Russian market is extremely vibrant at the moment, spurred on by next year's Olympics in Sochi, and if they want to take advantage of the opportunities then they have to be there, actively promoting their products and services. We are excited to be leading another joint venture to Moscow.
