Rethink Technology Research ha elaborado un informe en el que prev que los servicios SVoD alcancen al broadcast tradicional en cuanto a n mero de horas de visionado de aqu a 2023.
Of the 478 millones de suscriptores de SVoD de hoy en d a se pasar a 743 millones en 2023, con China liderando el n mero suscriptores de SVoD, aunque Am rica del Norte seguir manejando el mayor volumen de d lares.
La aceptaci n de la SVoD se est acelerando y, en t rminos de horas de visionado al d a, pronto alcanzar el nivel de la televisi n de difusi n mundial para el a o 2023.
Este pron stico global muestra el marcado contraste entre la fortaleza del AVoD en Asia en comparaci n con el frenes de la SVoD en los EE.UU. y Europa. El mercado de los EE.UU. se elevar desde un SVoD combinado de pago (incluyendo vMVPD) y alcanzar 236,6 millones de suscripciones a finales de 2023, desde una base actual de unos 146,5 millones de suscriptores.
Europa y Asia estar n codo con codo en los ingresos de SVoD para el a o 2023, pero con muchos menos suscriptores en Europa, cada uno de los cuales pagar significativamente m s que los de Asia, una regi n dominada por n meros de streaming de VoD de publicidad espantosamente grandes.
Netflix seguir liderando en SVoD en n meros de abonados (fuera de China), pero en 2023 contar con 194 millones de clientes SVoD de un total de 743 millones a nivel mundial, aproximadamente el 26% del total de abonados a nivel mundial. En los EE.UU., Netflix representa hoy el 44% de las suscripciones, pero s lo ser el 31% del aumento de los niveles de suscripci n en los EE.UU. para el a o 2023.
A juicio de Rethink Technology Research, uno de los nuevos l deres que surgir n de la batalla por el mercado estadounidense ser WarnerMedia, bajo su nueva estrategia definida de AT&T, freemium, que alcanzar los 29,6 millones de hogares SVoD en 2023. Disney tambi n es probable que tenga m ltiples tipos de servicios SVoD, pero es probable que tenga problemas fuera de los Estados Unidos.
Europa ser una mezcla de diferentes enfoques, con operadores estadounidenses puros como Netflix y Amazon ya establecidos, estudios estadounidenses que empiezan a reivindicar sus derechos y emisoras locales que se unen para desafiarlos, mientras que la regi n tiene sus propios reproductores SVoD puros, tambi n como Maxdome, Sky, Zattoo y Rakuten TV.
El mercado de Asia Pac fico est muy sesgado y se espera que China acumule 245 millones de suscriptores de SVoD, alrededor del 72% del total de la regi n, pero el gasto promedio ser de 2 o 3 d lares al mes. En Am rica Latina la disputa se da entre el l der Netflix, Claro TV de Am rica M vil y Blim de Televisa.
