This course is intended for engineers and technologists who need to understand the detail in SMPTE's ST 2110 suite of standards. It assumes a basic understanding of IP and associated terminology.

While not required to register, to gain the most from this course we recommend that you complete Introduction to Networks, Routing and Switching Essentials, and the Essentials of IP Media Transport for Broadcasters: Moving Real-Time Video and Audio over Packet Networks prior to enrolling in Understanding ST 2110. The recommended courses will enable a deeper understanding of IP, internetworking, and many essential concepts that are referenced.
