The Telos Alliance Introduces OmniaSST Broadcast Audio Processing Software Featuring MPX FM Composite Codec at IBC 2016

The Telos Alliance leaders in broadcast technology and parent company to Telos Omnia , Axia , 25-Seven , Linear Acoustic , and Minnetonka announced its OmniaSST broadcast audio software today at IBC 2016 at the RAI Amsterdam, Stand #8.D47.

OmniaSST was designed by Team Omnia in conjunction with audio processing expert Hans van Zutphen, bringing together the very best FM pre-processing / processing and the Telos Alliances revolutionary new MPX codec.

This full-featured, professional software transforms broadcast PCs into high-end audio processors. Based on a powerful processing engine designed by Van Zutphen, OmniaSST is the first processor to support the Telos Alliances revolutionary MPX codec. MPX, a specialized codec purpose-built for FM radio, is able to transport high-quality Multiplexed FM signals over a small 320kbps data pipe. Reduced data requirements mean high-quality multiplexed audio and RDS signals can be directly routed over IP from a processor into an exciter, opening tremendous possibilities for efficient MPX audio transport. A signature design aspect of OmniaSST is its ability to clean and repair incoming audio, optimizing it before it hits compression, limiting, and final processing stages. It can remove unwanted sounds such as a 50/60 Hz hum from bad cables, repair clipped audio using the Perfect Declipper, improve the sound of lossy compressed audio such as MPEG2/MP3 material, and automatically repair stereo phase shift problems. This remarkable pre-processing strategy results in a clean, loud, and open sound. OmniaSST includes purpose-built Omnia presets, FM pre-emphasis, stereo and RDS encoding, and shares the same FM reception-improving composite final clipper as found on the Omnia.9SG. Using an I7 class processor, latency can be reduced to as low as 5ms. Finally, a streamlined GUI means easy, intuitive operation.

Omnia SST w/ MPX Encoder/Decoder will retail for $1,395 and additional MPX Decoder Only Licenses will be $395.
