Smartphone manufacturer Honor is betting on photokina The expansion of photokina with new areas of imaging is increasingly taking shape. With the smartphone manufacturer Honor, one of the most innovative and fastest growing companies of the mobile industry has confirmed its participation. As an exhibitor and partner of the Mobile Imaging Lounge in hall 5.1, Honor will present current models and will demonstrate the usability of the most innovative AI function in workshops.
We have always stressed that the mobile segment will be essential for photokina in future. The camera technology in smartphones has achieved an astonishing standard and is therefore a boon for the entire imaging industry. We are very pleased that Honor, one of the technology leaders from this segment, will present its products and innovations in the context of photokina, explains Christoph Werner, Vice President Koelnmesse.
We have consciously decided in favour of exhibiting at photokina, because we see the right environment here for presenting our high degree of imaging competence and innovation to an international public, according to Marco Eberlein, General Manager Honor Germany. At the same time, it makes it possible for us to allow fans of photography to test a fully new technology, to receive direct feedback and to be able to even better address the needs of our community in future.
Effective immediately, Honor defines the benchmark for mobile AI photography with the new Honor 10. With the new product of the AI industries, namely semantic image division, various objects are categorised in a photo and optimally represented accordingly. If, for example, your best friend is photographed on vacation in front of the Grand Canyon in the bright sunshine, Honor 10 recognises the objects Person, Landscape and Sky thanks to AI. These objects are then optimised individually and subsequently recomposed to create an excellent photo.
For many customers, the camera function is decisive for the purchase of a new smartphone. The manufacturers of mobile end devices are accordingly increasingly using the technology as a feature for differentiation. The speed of innovation in the industry is correspondingly high.
