Sharjah Media Centre Organizes Seminar Presented by Zaven Koyoumdjian Held in the presence of HE Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qaimi

The seminar titled A witness on the society' held by Zaven Kouyoumdjian highlighted the importance of the media in serving the welfare of the community by providing effective solutions through recognizing the problems, discussing them and allocating secure media coverage to serve the community and spread awareness about negative and illegal practices.

The event was attended by HE Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qassimi, Chairman of Sharjah Media Centre, HE Abdullah Al Owais, Chairman of the Culture and Information Department, Osama Samra, Director of Sharjah Media Centre, Colonel Sultan

Al-Khayal, Director of the Media and Public Relations Department at Sharjah Police, Ahmed bin Rakkad Al Amri, Director of Sharjah International Book Fair, Colonel Major Saeed Hareb Al-Monthiri, representative of the Amiri Guards, in addition to a number of media representatives and academic participants.

The seminar discussed the subjects in Zaven's book, A Witness on the Society', written in collaboration with psychologist Dr. Dolly Habbal. The book comprises observations extracted from Zaven's TV program, Seereh W Enfat'het' (An Opened Subject), which ran on Future TV for 13 years, tackling a variety of issues such as mental health, emotional intelligence, self-confidence, leadership skills, in addition to a number of other topics.

Different programs and techniques regarding the media's role in inducing a positive change in society were also discussed. In this regards, Zaven introduced to the audience his new TV program, Ala Al Akeed (For Certain), and elaborated on the mechanisms the program employs to solve problems between people, or between people and government entities.

At the end of the seminar, Zaven Kouyoumdjian presented HE Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qassimi, Chairman of Sharjah Media Centre, with a signed copy of his book, where HE Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed presented Zaven with a collection of books written

by His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, UAE Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah.
