TF1 and Mediapro have partnered to launch new football channel, Telefoot.
The channel will be available to viewers in France from August 2020, the date for when France's Ligue 1 is due to begin again.
According to the two broadcasters, the new channel will offer 80 per cent of matches from Ligue 1, as well as eight matches a day from Ligue 2.
They added the new channel will use both broadcasters' editorial know how and technological expertise.
The broadcasters have set a target of 3.5 million subscribers for the new channel that is expected to cost around 25 per month.
Mediapro is set to launch a subscription channel in France after paying 780 million per-season contract for eight Ligue 1 rights packages from 2020-21 to 2023-24.
