Join us as Manuel Garcia and Tony Mandarich discuss Tony's journey to sobriety before diving into a discussion around substance use dis-orders and self care. The session will be of interest for those personally in recovery or for family members and friends who want to gain insights into how to keep an eye out for dis-orders and to help a loved one embrace better self care practices.

Manuel graduated with a degree in Psychology from Anahuac University, M xico City, M xico. He received his graduate degree at the Hazelden Graduate School of Addiction Studies in 2013. Manuel is the Supervisor of Outpatient Program and is also a member of the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee at Hazelden Betty Ford. He has great passion for giving back to the world through his work in Substance Use Disorder recovery. He has a special interest in helping students and professionals accomplish professional goals through Clinical Supervision with a humanistic approach, as well as a passion for bringing positive change.

Mandarich was drafted by the Green Bay Packers in 1989 and played seven years in the NFL for both the Packers and Colts.

Poznanovich will be joined by Ryan Leaf and Vin Baker and the three will offer up tips, recommendations, and best practices for those struggling with figuring out an effective plan for mental health or recovery support.

As a member of the Executive Leadership Team at the Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation, Bob manages the organization's strategic relations with health systems, employers, insurance and managed care organizations, professional referents and other national accounts. Bob joined Hazelden Betty Ford in 2010 after many wide-ranging and successful business ventures elsewhere. Prior to joining the organization, he co-founded and served as the CEO of AiR Healthcare - a behavioral health organization that provides solutions to individuals, families and employers dealing with behavioral health issues. Before that, he spent over 20 years as a senior business development executive in the technology industry. He also co-authored the Hazelden Publishing title, It Is Not Okay to be a Cannibal: How to Stop Addiction from Eating Your Family Alive.
