HBS on a roll: No oughts of summer ...

HBS knows no rest as many of its teams relocate for the coming months as a roster of exciting and varied projects over the present and coming months have left the HBS planning centre in Paris/Boulogne resembling a ghost town.

Today sees the opening match of the Copa America Centenario, between United States and Colombia at Levi's Stadium, Santa Clara, United States. HBS takes the role of production partner at the event for the Confederation of North, Central America and Caribbean Association Football (CONCACAF) - the host federation for the competition. The duties covered by this role include logistics, project management and editorial services. The company is also responsible for the production and the delivery of a daily 24-minute highlights programme, in addition to the footage for the high-quality competition review show - El Centenario . To ensure the smooth delivery of the Copa 2016, HBS team members are permanently based in the U.S., at the Broadcast Operations Centre (BOC) to oversee the operations during the month of June. Seven experts from the Production and the Digital departments have left France last week to set up their base in Atlanta.

At the meantime, in Paris, construction and installation of broadcast facilities was recently completed by HBS teams at the International Broadcast Centre (IBC) for EURO 2016 - situated at the Paris Expo Porte de Versailles exhibition centre. This mission has been something of a homecoming for HBS as the IBC is located in the same facility that housed the IBC for the 1998 FIFA World Cup France , which was constructed and managed by TVRS 98 - the precursor to HBS, already hosted by Francis Tellier, HBS' CEO.

Also close to HBS' home in Paris, quality control teams have been teaming up partnership with the F d ration Fran aise de Tennis (FFT) at the French Open, Roland Garros. Having previously worked in consultancy roles for the FFT it is a pleasure and honour to work with them professionally at such a prestigious event.

Elsewhere in Europe, the Tour de Suisse begins on 11 June and HBS will be running tests with prototype embedded data systems. As part of Infront Sports & Media's partnership with Velon, HBS has been contracted as Project Manager and will be managing and monitoring the implementation of the on-board software which allows teams to analyse their riders performance the fan community to engage in real time with their favourite competitors. The action on two wheels continues in August with HBS being the Host Broadcaster at the Cyclassics Hamburg in August.

It is safe to say, the beach can wait this summer HBS wishes the best to all staff on the road and the greatest success to all rights holders broadcasting these events in the weeks and months ahead.
