For the first time ever, Tubi - Fox's free streaming service - is working with Apple TV to offer exclusive live F1 altcasts for multiple races during the 2026 Formula 1 season. Available for free and across every device in the U.S., the altcasts will feature top creators who are experts on the sport to provide sharp race insight paired with entertaining commentary. The announcement was made as part of Tubi's presentation at the IAB NewFronts in New York this week.
The F1 altcasts are designed to expand F1's appeal and broaden access for new, younger, and more digitally native audiences. The supported races with live F1 altcasts will be announced at a later date.
This comes on the heels of Tubi's announcement of a FIFA World Cup FOX Hub and plans to simulcast two matches this summer. Launching in June, the FIFA World Cup FOX Hub on Tubi will serve as a destination for soccer fans featuring FOX Sports and FIFA programming around the games and athletes. in addition to original, exclusive and creator content from Tubi and the opening ceremonies and two matches for the USMNT and Mexico.
It's part of Tubi's overall sports strategy blending premium partnerships and creator-led programming to reach younger, digital-first audiences. Tubi also helped extend the reach of major live events like the Super Bowl (where Tubi helped make Super Bowl LIX the most streamed ever), bringing in younger and more diverse audiences.
Additionally, Tubi announced the launch of original content from creator Deestroying blending sports, competition, and creator-driven storytelling, as well as Jesser's Ultimate Kickoff featuring soccer challenges from creator Jesser.
