FOX 50 and Me-TV 50.2 have launched their first ever Nifty Gifty Toy Drive to benefit the children and families of the Raleigh Rescue Mission, Durham Rescue Mission and Beacon Rescue Mission.
From Friday, December 6 through Sunday, December 15, you can drop off a new, unwrapped toy at our community partner site Park West Village in Morrisville. Simply look for one of the many giant gift boxes throughout the shopping center. While you're at Park West Village, enjoy the free, nightly Magical Winter Lights show in front of the Park West Theater. The event includes live music, carolers, train rides and story time with Santa! Park West Village is located at the intersection of Chapel Hill Road and Cary Parkway.
You may also make a donation online now through Sunday, December 15 at www.FOX50.com. Click on the Nifty Gifty Toy Drive link and follow the simple steps to donate online.
Over 62,000 people are estimated to be living in poverty just in Raleigh, said Thomas Schenck, FOX 50 & Me-TV 50.2 VP/GM This is our way of making sure local families have the Christmas their kids deserve.
All toys and donations will be divided up between the children and their families of the Raleigh Rescue Mission, the Durham Rescue Mission and the Beacon Rescue Mission.
