Phorus Announces National Distribution with RadioShack and Adds iOS Compatibility for Breakthrough Whole-Home Wireless Audio System

Phorus PS1 Speaker and PR1 Receiver to Offer RadioShack Customers a High Quality Multi-Room, Multi-Zone, Multi-User Whole-Home Audio Listening Experience Unmatched by Bluetooth

ENCINO, Calif. (September 26, 2013) - Phorus, a subsidiary of DTS, Inc. (Nasdaq: DTSI), and the first company to release whole-home wireless audio systems connected by DTS Play-Fi technology, today announced that the companys breakthrough product line would be available at RadioShack. Beginning in October, the PS1 Speaker and PR1 Receiver will debut at selected RadioShack stores nationwide, including the companys new concept store locations in New York City.

In addition, the Phorus app for iOS is now available on the App Store, allowing consumers to stream pristine, high quality audio directly from iPhones, iPads, and the iPod Touch to the Phorus PS1 Speaker and PR1 Receiver. With Phorus expanding roster of apps and software, a perfectly synchronized multi-room, multi-zone, multi-user whole-home audio listening experience can be accessed directly from the most popular Android and iOS smartphones and tablets, Kindle Fires and coming soon, from Windows PCs.

The Phorus app for iOS gives users full control over their whole-home wireless audio system directly from their phone or tablet for streaming music from iTunes, their existing playlists and from popular music services such as Pandora. Users can also connect up to eight different speakers to one network and enjoy music in every room of their home, perfectly synchronized with no lag and with no impact on sound quality via DTS Play-Fi technology. The apps also use Play-Fi to stream different songs to different rooms, simultaneously, and will be adding support for other multi-room, multi-zone, and multi-user features in the near future.

The Phorus PS1 Speaker ($199) and the Phorus PR1 Receiver ($149) are both available now from the Phorus Store on Amazon.com, at Nebraska Furniture Mart, and will soon be available at selected RadioShack locations. The Phorus App is free and available on the Apple App Store, Google Play and the Amazon App Marketplace.
