Ventuz Delivers In-Depth Data for Spanish TV Show El Objetivo Agency: Warp9

Weekly political TV show uses multi-touch screen to enhance in-studio installations.

The Spanish TV show El Objetivo is a popular political format with the goal of bringing insight information to the Spanish community. Every Sunday at 9:30 pm, host Ana Pastor focuses on one pressing topic of public interest and presents data analysis, polls and statistics to gather objective facts on the matter.

In order to present this data in a compelling and easily understandable way, the agency Warp9 has created an in-studio multi-touch installation based on Ventuz. The screen, which is embedded into the main desk, is used by the host and guests to show sources, highlight especially important details and illustrate different views on each topic.

The application runs on a 55 touchscreen, powered by a DS workstation with an Nvidia Quadro K4000 graphics card. Via an interactive menu, the host and guests can control graphics ranging from data visualization and videos to web browsers, social media feeds, maps and newspaper articles. The content is simultaneously displayed on a large LED wall behind the desk and can also be streamed into the broadcast signal as on-air graphics. Additionally, speakers have the opportunity to use a paint functionality to highlight certain elements of the content.

Warp9 chose Ventuz for this application due to the interactive nature of the software. Also its reliability and flexibility are necessary features for the use in a professional broadcast environment.
