Fresenius University director Dr. Matthias Afting presents the certificates to both MAXON scholarship recipients at the Fresenius University presentation ceremony at the town hall in Idstein, Germany. Julia Schumann and Marc Mayrh rmann are third-semester 3D design and management students. Both switched from more business-oriented fields of study so they can develop their creativity and also gain valuable management skills. Julia and Marc's scholarships were awarded for a complete year.
Professor Chirs Wickenden, academic dean for 3D Design & Management at Fresenius University, is very pleased with the cooperation with MAXON: The scholarships are a result of the high level of trust, appreciation and successful cooperation between Fresenius University and MAXON. MAXON's support represents a special recognition for our students' excellent performance and helps pave the way for their future and professional perspective. The aim of the German scholarship program, which was introduced in 2011, is to help recognize and support outstanding performance for the specialists of tomorrow. In 2016, 22,528 scholarships were awarded at 296 universities nationwide. The scholarships are financed equally by the department of education and private institutions.
