In addition Sunday night's overtime thriller delivered a record 21.3 million minutes of consumption through NBC Sports Live Extra, NBC Sports Group's live streaming product. The 21.3 million minutes are the most for any NBC NFL regular-season game, passing this season's NFL Kickoff game between the Baltimore Ravens and Denver Broncos, which delivered 20.7 million minutes with the aid of a lengthy weather delay. Last night's game delivered the second-most minutes consumed among all NBC NFL games, trailing only the consumption of Super Bowl XLVI (78.6 million, Feb. 5, 2012). The 101st GREY CUP on Sunday night averaged 4.5 million viewers on TSN, ranking as the most-watched sports program of the broadcast year and the fourth most-watched GREY CUP on record, according to preliminary overnight data from BBM Canada. Overall, more than 11.5 million viewers, or approximately one in three Canadians, watched some part of the 2013 CFL championship on TSN and in French on RDS. NBC Sports' live broadcast of the United States Grand Prix on Sunday drew 1.010 million viewers, up 47% vs. last year on SPEED (688,000) despite blackouts due to news preemptions for severe weather in the Midwest (including the Chicago and Indianapolis markets). The U.S. Grand Prix (1:56-3:49 p.m. ET) from Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas, scored a 0.65 household rating according to final national data, up 67% vs. last year's race on SPEED (0.39). Sunday's race also surpassed NBC's coverage of the Canadian Grand Prix (950,000) in June by 6%
The Rockets continue to drive NBA ratings as, last Wednesday's Rockets/Mavericks NBA regular season game drew 2.1 million viewers on ESPN, the most-viewed game of the week. It was the second straight week that the Rockets played in the week's most-viewed game; Rockets/Knicks the previous week attracted 2.0 million on TNT. Univision Network's broadcast of the FIFA World Cup Qualifier between Mexico and New Zealand live from Wellington, New Zealand reached 5.4 million total viewers who tuned into all or part of the broadcast. The match, which aired on Univision Network from 12:49 a.m. - 3:04 a.m. on Nov. 20, 2013, delivered an average of 3.1 million total viewers and 1.9 million Adults 18-49. The match on Univision Network was the No. 1 sports program on broadcast TV in terms of social media activity, regardless of language.
