Vizrt previews instant Video On Demand for Studio Productions at IBC 05

At IBC 2015, Vizrt will show the latest improvements to studio production workflows for publishing video on demand to web and mobile using our compact control room solution, Viz Opus. Viz Opus is Vizrts one-box solution for newscast automation, real-time graphics and video playout.

Vizrt, the leading provider of production tools for the digital media industry, announced today a new video on demand (VOD) workflow that works seamlessly with existing studio workflows for highly automated publishing of video content online with Coder. The system is being demonstrated at Vizrts booth 7.A20 during IBC2015.

The new workflow allows users to create stories by editing video and graphic items in their favorite non-linear editing system. These stories can also be created or enhanced in any of Vizrts video and graphics editors. The resulting stories are saved with clean video with Vizrts powerful Meta-Graphics workflow.

As a show airs, Viz One, Vizrts media asset management system, automatically ingests the clean feed and saves all events triggered by Viz Opus-including graphics. At the end of airing each story, videos are automatically packaged and transcoded for the web.

Vizrt's VOD workflow allows for publishing video, with minimal manual work, to both web and mobile from the studio.

Even though video on demand has been around for a long time, the process of getting content from the control room to the user on web and mobile has not been efficient. The new Vizrt workflow avoids the time-consuming repackaging work and allows programs to be published instantly after airing. With the new video on demand workflows we are also enabling the broadcaster to provide responsive graphics adapted to their online channels and the end user devices - automating the workflow even further while improving the end user experience.

Vizrt is also previewing a new rundown creation tool, Showmaker. With Showmaker, producers script stories and edit graphics templates and videos through a highly intuitive, web-based interface. Showmaker lets you build rundowns without the need of a traditional newsroom control system (NRCS). It is perfect to use for smaller productions, live sports and entertainment events, and remote productions.

Vizrt will display the VOD workflow at IBC2015 booth 7.A20.
