Digital District Now Manages Render Farm with PipelineFX s Qube!

PipelineFX, makers of Qube!, the leading render farm management software for digital media creation, announced today that the global VFX firm Digital District will now use Qube! to manage linked render farms from China to Paris.

Qube! gives us all the flexibility we need for our current and future projects, said Dave Lajoie, R&D Director at Digital District. It was important to find a cross-platform solution with a strong Python API that would allow us to control every aspect of our processes. Qube! is that solution.

With a new Montreal facilty, and a 3D animated feature in production, Digital District will be automating rendering tasks that are essential, but don't require human intervention. With Qube! we feel confident that we can tackle our next feature film that involves 1,500 shots, 200 characters and the task of digitally rebuilding Paris in the 1880s without the added stress of managing every process.
