
Antonio Banderas, Premio Nacional de Cinematograf a 2017 El jurado ha valorado su trayectoria extraordinaria a nivel nacional e internacional, que ha abierto el camino para muchos actores y actrices espa oles as como su compromiso tenaz con el cine como actor, director y productor.
El Premio Nacional de Cinematograf a correspondiente a 2017 ha sido otorgado al actor, director y productor Antonio Banderas. En su fallo, el jurado ha premiado al actor por ser un cineasta con una trayectoria extraordinaria a nivel nacional e internacional, que ha abierto el camino para muchos actores y actrices espa oles. Su compromiso tenaz con el cine como actor, director y productor le hace merecedor de este premio .
El Premio Nacional de Cinematograf a lo concede el Instituto de la Cinematograf a y de las Artes Audiovisuales (ICAA), organismo adscrito al Ministerio de Educaci n, Cultura y Deporte y est dotado con 30.000 euros.
Jurado
El jurado ha estado presidido por scar Graefenhain, director general del Instituto de la Cinematograf a y de las Artes Audiovisuales; y Guadalupe Melgosa, subdirectora general de Promoci n y Relaciones Internacionales del Instituto de la Cinematograf a y de las Artes Audiovisuales, ha actuado como vicepresidenta. Como vocales, han estado presentes, a propuesta de la Academia de las Artes y las Ciencias Cinematogr ficas de Espa a, Mariano Barroso; por la Uni n de Actores y Actrices, Jos Ignacio Mu oz; por Autores Literarios de Medios Audiovisuales, Ver nica Fern ndez; por la Confederaci n de Asociaciones de Productores Audiovisuales Espa oles (FAPAE), M. Rosario Villa; por la Asociaci n de Mujeres Cineastas y de Medios Audiovisuales (CIMA),Virginia Yag e; por el Instituto de la Cinematograf a y de las Artes Audiovisuales, Alex de la Iglesia, Fernando Bovaira; Agust n Almod var y Beatriz Bodegas.
Actor, productor y director
Antonio Banderas naci en M laga en 1960 y se traslad a Madrid con dieciocho a os donde comenz a actuar en peque os teatros hasta iniciarse en el cine de la mano de Pedro Almod var. El trabajo conjunto de ambos llev al actor a recibir dos candidaturas a los Premios Goya por las pel culas Matador (1986) y tame! (1989). Ambos realizaron juntos en aquella poca cinco pel culas: las dos citadas adem s de Laberinto de pasiones, La ley del deseo and Mujeres al borde de un ataque de nervios (1988). Esta ltima pel cula alcanz repercusi n internacional y fue nominada al scar como mejor pel cula de habla no inglesa. Posteriormente Almod var y Banderas han colaborado en The skin I live (2011) y Los amantes pasajeros (2013).
En la d cada de 1980, Banderas trabaj tambi n con otros directores espa oles como Francesc Betriu R quiem por un campesino espa ol y en comedias como La corte de Fara n de Jos Luis Garc a S nchez y Bajarse al moro de Fernando Colomo.
Antonio Banderas debut en el cine angl fono en 1992 junto a Armand Assante en Los reyes del mambo. Pronto obtuvo dos papeles de especial importancia: el primero, como pareja homosexual de Tom Hanks en Philadelphia (1993), pel cula de Jonathan Demme sobre el SIDA que gan dos premios Oscar y que le abrir a definitivamente las puertas de Hollywood; y el segundo papel, encarnando al vampiro franc s Armand en Entrevista con el vampiro, junto a Brad Pitt y Tom Cruise. En 1994 rod su primer papel protagonista en una pel cula en idioma ingl s, De amor y de sombra que lo introdujo definitivamente en Hollywood.
En el g nero de acci n y aventuras, Antonio Banderas ha obtenido xitos de taquilla como Asesinos y la pel cula que le dio su segundo papel protagonista en Hollywood: La m scara del Zorro (1998), junto a Anthony Hopkins.
Banderas ha obtenido numerosos galardones a lo largo de su carrera. En 2008 se le distingui con la Medalla de Oro al M rito en las Bellas Artes que concede el Ministerio de Educaci n, Cultura y Deporte y en 2014 obtuvo el Goya de Honor. Ha sido reconocido en los Globos de Oro, Fotogramas de Plata, premios Sant Jordi de Cine, Premio del Cine Europeo, Premio Juventud, Premio Tony, Premio Donostia del Festival de San Sebasti n y Premio Platino, entre otros muchos.
