How to Upload Media to the Cloud ...

Here is a quick guide to show you how to upload your media into Aframe.

Firstly, go to Aframe in your internet browser to enter your Username and Password:

When you login, you will land on your Dashboard. You will see a list of Projects, click on the Project you wish to upload into.

You have two Upload options, the Aframe Desktop App (recommended) and via the browser.

Aframe Desktop App: The Aframe Desktop App has been designed to make getting media into and out of your projects even easier, automating the in' and out' of your workflow. Once installed on your machine you can create connections between projects and localized folders of your choice, both for upload and download. The desktop app will sit in the background watching your folders and projects for any new material to upload or download into your designated destination. The app updates itself it will prompt you to restart the app when there is a new version available.

Click Add a New upload connection', you will see this window:

You should now click Choose' to navigate to a folder on your computer, or alternatively create a new one. Now select the Project you wish to upload into. This will establish a connection between the watch folder and your Project.

Once the connection is established it will take a minute to initialize and it will then scan every 10 seconds for new media inside of the watch folder. You will see a progress bar with details of your upload. Any files or folders put into the watch folder will automatically upload to your chosen project once the connection is made.

Click on the green toggle on the far right to disable the connection, you can re-enable it at a time that suits you. You can also click the Bin icon to delete the connection.

Autocreate Collections: Create a new Folder on your drive or computer called Aframe Watch Folder', this is the folder you should point the Desktop App to.

Create a new folder inside of that folder, with the name of your upload. For example Day 1 Rushes . Drag or copy your files into this folder. When the Upload has completed Aframe will automatically create a Collection with this folder name.

In this example my Collection would be called Stock Footage'

You can create as many Collections as you like, so that your media is organized in a way that is meaningful to you.

Upload via the Browser: To upload via the browser, click the Upload button in the top right corner. You will need to ensure that Java is updated and we recommend ensuring that your browser is updated to the latest version.

Track the progress of your Upload: Login to Aframe and navigate to the Project you are uploading into, then go to the Processing Page, here you will see all uploads going into the Project. You will see a live status of your upload.

Get Started Today: Installing the desktop application couldn't be easier. Simply log into your Aframe account and click on the link in the footer. Alternatively, Aframe users can navigate direct to app.aframe.com/desktop.
