Aperi and D&MS sign distribution agreement posted: 22/06/2016
Aperi Corporation, the pioneer in bringing software-based real-time IP media processing to live production and networking, and Digital & Media Solutions (D&MS), an internationally operating and approved system integrator, have joined forces to bring Aperi's unique software platform to the Netherlands and Belgium market.
Aperi CEO Joop Janssen said: D&MS is a recognized and trusted partner for many of the media broadcast and production companies and facility houses in the territory. D&MS' proven track record in delivering innovative, future-proof but robust solutions is second to none. As the industry transitions to native IP and fully software-based solutions, customers need a partner with the expertise, the market background and a platform technology that works Together, D&MS and Aperi are just that.
For D&MS, the partnership represents the ideal time to meet what they see as growing customer demand for true IP solutions. Over the past years, we have received frequent customer requests for native IP and fully software-based audio and video processing solutions, said Jan Derksen, managing director at D&MS. Aperi's unique platform architecture, with an integrated IP switch and compute core, is the perfect solution.
Aperi's Media Function Virtualization (MFV) technology allows for evolutionary migration from current SDI-centric installations to a future-proof, fully standards- and open source software-based system solution, where new media formats and additional features can be realized with instant spinning up and down of software applications. The agile, software-driven IP ecosystem also enables easy pay-per-use business models.
