Arvato Systems and its partners are inviting top-level pharma experts to a joint exchange at the Bertelsmann headquarters in Berlin

The event, which will take place on 12 and 13 December, will focus on the successful implementation of global serialization requirements within the pharmaceutical industry

(Arvato Systems) G tersloh, Germany - For the fifth time in a row, representatives of international pharmaceutical companies and implementing serialization partners will meet for a two-day exchange within the framework of the Serialization Symposium. The two-day event will focus on the global guideline requirements for protection against counterfeit medicines in the legal supply chain. Established companies and experienced contact persons will be at the guests' disposal for directly exchanging information.

The clock is ticking: More and more countries around the world are enacting laws and setting binding time limits on the implementation of complete serialization of prescription drugs. The European Anti-Counterfeiting Directive, 2011/62/EU, will come into force on 9 February 2019, leaving not even 450 days for pharmaceutical companies to implement the requirements.

Implementing a serialization solution means examining and adapting existing processes and systems holistically along the supply chain. Globally differing technical requirements pose additional challenges for the pharmaceutical industry.

After the first day of the event, all participants will be invited to a networking evening in the nearby Haus Ungarn for more in-depth discussions.
