Dalet Galaxy MAM Platform Selected to Power Entire VDM Program Preparation and Production Workflow

Video Digital Multimedia (VDM), a leading French audio-visual laboratory, has selected the Dalet Galaxy Media Asset Management (MAM) platform to manage its entire audio/visual program preparation and production workflow. The new installation features the Dalet Workflow Engine including the BPMN 2.0-compliant designer and two Dalet Brio servers for media I/O.

As the amount of content to handle and the complexity of VDM processes surge, the audio-visual laboratory has looked to Dalet to manage its ever-expanding workflows. With the Dalet Galaxy Media Asset Management (MAM) platform at the heart of the VDM digital lab, the content chain will be unified by managing assets, metadata, workflows and processes across multiple and diverse production and distribution systems, increasing productivity and providing operational and business visibility.

In addition to installing the Dalet Galaxy MAM business solution for program preparation and production, VDM has integrated a number of additional Dalet products within the enterprise platform, including the Dalet Xtend module, which brings Adobe Premiere clients into the workflow, and the Dalet Report Center to provide advanced system reporting and detailed, business-oriented metrics. Combined with the Dalet Workflow Engine, VDM can automate the various workflows needed to produce content and prepare programs in the growing number of formats necessary to deliver media to just about any screen or platform in existence. With operations soon to be running seamlessly, in order to keep a clean user experience with current ERP and healthy database, VDM will develop an Ingest Portal (VDMIngest) and innovative features on top of the Galaxy MAM using the Dalet API.
