KIT digital Appoints Mark Portu as Global General Manager, OVP

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwired - Jun 18, 2013) - KIT digital, Inc., a global provider of video management software and solutions, has announced the hiring of Mark Portu as Global General Manager, OVP.

Mr. Portu has over two decades of experience in the development and operation of highly successful technology companies. He founded TierTwo Systems, a business he sold to Open Text Corporation, where he served as Senior Vice President, playing a key role in the growth of the business from 300 to more than 3000 employees, and integrating more than $800 million of acquisitions.

Most recently, he served as President of TradeWings, a global asset management business. Prior to that, Mr. Portu was CEO of The FeedRoom, where he led a successful turn-around of the business from 2007 until its 2009 acquisition.

Marks appointment brings vast experience in technology and entrepreneurship to KIT digital and our evolving leadership team. He will play an instrumental role in helping us grow our market share in online video platforms (OVP) and focus our capabilities in professional services, said interim CEO, Peter Heiland.
