Quarter 3 Funding Approvals Announcement Further Delayed

In December 2014 The National Film and Video Foundation Council released a statement informing the industry that due to unforeseen circumstances, it was not in a position to announce the outcomes of the quarter 3 funding approvals. The delay was due to an administrative challenge in the transfer of outstanding funds by the Department of Arts and Culture (DAC) to the NFVF. Unfortunately this issue has taken longer to resolve than was expected, therefore the NFVF is still not in a position to announce the funding outcomes for quarter 3.

To show the NFVF's commitment to eliminating as much disruption to the industry as possible Ms. Zama Mkosi, CEO of the NFVF has announced that whilst the matter is being resolved by the DAC, the Foundation will redistribute a portion of its funds to ensure that bursary applicants receive funding in time to secure their enrollment for their respective courses for the 2015 Academic year. As for the other areas of funding the NFVF is in contact with the DAC who are working to resolve the issue and have indicated their commitment to giving this matter the highest priority so as to resolve it as soon as possible.

The NFVF sincerely apologises for any inconvenience caused and commits to constantly keep the industry informed of new developments that may occur. Affected applicants will be notified of the outcome on the earliest date as soon as the issue within the DAC is resolved.
