Two China Famous Trademarks Added in Cixi

The Trademark Office of State Administration for Industry and Commerce together with judges has released the latest batch of China Famous Trademarks on a recent day. Trademarks of Cixi Yangmei(waxberry) from Cixi Linte Technology Promotion Center and CW from Cixing Group Co.,Ltd are among the list. So far, Cixi boasts 13 China Famous Trademarks approved by the State Administration.

Cixi Yangmei is famous for two types of varieties, namely, chufa-like waxberry and Zaoda Zhong which matures early and has big fruit. Cixi Yangmei is characterized by big fruit, small kernel, sweet and juicy pulp. This year witnesses a fruitful year of production and sales with the total production area of 54,000,000 square meters and the yield of 25,000 tons. Waxberries are also exported to the markets in Hongkong, Singapore, France, Japan and so on. Cixi Yangmei has won the Trademark of Geographical Indication and Zhejiang Famous Trademark before it was approved as China Famous Trademark.

Cixing Group has been manufacturing a variety of high-quality precision ball bearings used in electrical machines, cars, computers, instrument and meters, electrical tools and gardening tools since 1984. The CW brand bearing produced by the company enjoys a great popularity in the international market. The trademark was registered in America and EU and the products are being sold in 26 countries and regions including America, Germany, UK, France, Italy, Japan as well as Hongkong and Taiwan.

It is learned that the trademarks must boast the characteristics like high degree of market credibility, market share, social recognition, consumer recognition and leading development in the industry so that they can be approved by the State Administration for Industry and Commerce, China's most authoritative administration for brand recognition. Approved trademarks can enjoy the first-class priority protection privileges among 170 member countries of Paris Convention and WTO members.

Cixi now has 29,546 registered trademarks of various kinds including 78 Zhejiang Famous Trademarks, 176 Ningbo Famous Trademarks and 249 Cixi Famous Trademarks.
